Getting to Sastamala

🚌 By bus

You can reach Sastamala city centre directly by bus from several cities, from where it is a short walk to many sights, restaurants and other points of interest.

🔁 There is also local public transport in the Sastamala region, which connects nearby villages and towns to the centre.

🚉 By train

Trains provide convenient access to Sastamala, and the town has two railway stations: Vammala and Karkku.

Vammala railway station is located close to the centre. The station building is one of the original station buildings on the Tampere–Pori line and still serves as a busy stop.

Karkku railway station is located in the Karkku village of Sastamala. All InterCity trains on the Tampere–Pori route also stop here.

🚗 By car

There are plenty of free parking spaces in Sastamala town centre, so travelling by car is hassle-free.

🚲 City bikes

During the summer in Sastamala you can also get around easily with city bikes. Bikes are available around the centre and are effortless to use – hop on a bike and explore the town at your own pace!
