Sastamala — Finland’s wedding city is not just an idea or a marketing slogan. At its core is a network of local operators who collaborate to make planning a wedding as smooth and inspiring as possible. This seamless collaboration appears to couples as ease.
Who creates and maintains the wedding city theme? Sastamala is one of Pirkanmaa’s most popular wedding destinations, and this is reflected in the range of wedding-related services. Our wedding city network brings together local businesses and associations that offer wedding services – from venues to catering, from flowers to photography and accommodation. Each provider brings their own expertise to the shared whole, serving couples in the best possible way.
The main goal of the network’s activities is simple: to make wedding planning easier.
When local providers know each other and work together, the couple benefits concretely in, for example, the following ways:

• the whole is easier to grasp
• compatible services are found more smoothly
A couple planning a wedding in Sastamala is not alone in making decisions, but can make use of the local network.

The network originated and framed its operating models from a project carried out during 2026. After the project ended, the joint work does not end; instead, the operating models and cooperation developed together are maintained and further developed through the existing network. The goal is to build Sastamala over the long term as a place where organizing a wedding is genuinely smooth and attractive.
Seamless cooperation makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. In Sastamala, wedding planning is not about assembling separate services, but a smoothly functioning whole.
