Kotajärvi Car and Tractor Museum
Zetor, Ford, Fordson, Ferguson, Massey Ferguson, Massey Harris, Valmet, Farmall, David Brown, Takra, Renault, Porsche, Fiat, Volvo, Deutz, – if you are familiar with these brand-names, then the Kotajärvi Car and Tractor Museum in Sastamala is a place you must visit!
The museum’s collections consist of almost 200 tractors, 20 cars and numerous motorbikes, mopeds and bicycles. In the summertime the museum is a site for various activities, of which there is more information available on local newspapapers as well as on the museum’s website.
During his lifetime, Seppo Kotajärvi collected a formidable amount of vehicles and machines used in agricultural context. Today, the collection as well as the museum is being administered by the foundation carrying the name of Seppo Kotajärvi. The fundamental principle of the foundation is to maintain and accumulate the present collection and to conduct research and provide the public with information on mechanisation of Finnish agriculture.
The museum is open from Midsummer to early August.
