The Home of Kaarlo Sarkia

Kiikka, the birthplace of poet Kaarlo Sarkia, has its roots deep in the Satakunta consciousness. The culturally historic scenery of the Kokemäenjoki valley can be experienced by staying at Ala-Hannula Farm or Kinnalan Koukku, which is home to a nationally renowned home guard museum. The smoke sauna and waterside sauna are also available for bookings.

Culture is alive and well in Kiikka, and its well-known amateur theatre Romulan Taiteellinen Teatteri holds a number of summer performances on the Sarkia stage in the centre of Kiikka. The Kiikka cultural society Virmajuuri arranges events such as poetry recitals at the Sarkia museum and different kinds of cultural and drama workshops at schools.

Kiikka is also proud of Kehitysmaakauppa, its own shop that has been selling fair trade goods and other products in support of developing countries for nearly 30 years.
